take the stripper lawyer legal iq challenge

I bet that any stripper lawyer, lawyer who strips, or stripper who wants to audition for law school will tell you that they too concur with the opinion of counsel for dead OTB, (NYC OTB) that NY PML Sec 105 violates the rights of betting strippers secured by NY Const. Art. 1, Sec. 3, that NY PML Sec 105 is not constitutionally defensible, that NY PML Sec 105 does not even apply to Nassau OTB and that NY PML Sec 105 is vague, indefinite and/or overly broad in that Roman Catholic Strippers and Greek Orthodox Strippers observe "Easter Sunday" in most years.  We need a public official like Scannell or Browne to ask the New York State Attorney General for an Opinion.

Vote for the stripper and the hell with all of these lawyers and Union Presidents and underlings like Barry Yomtov and Laura Campione who can't see that bettors can bet at Nassau OTB on any day of the year that they so choose.  If they are not in church with Andrew Cuomo and Dean Skelos perhaps they are playing the slot machines at Yonkers or at their favorite strip club.  OTBs are public benefit corporations and their workers need to have the choice of whether to work or not on any day of the year when tracks are running across the United States that Bettors want to to and workers would be wise to work while they still have jobs.

Come to think of it D'Amato's wife is a lawyer who could ask the Attorney General for a FREE OPINION

Lawyers or strippers?
Vote for the stripper who has not yet been to law school

Scannell v. Browne (x3) heats up
Judy Rattner and Chris Connolly
Herald file photo
Attorney Joseph Scannell, 49, a Democratic seven-time county legislator from Baldwin, left, is being challenged by attorney Christian Brown, 35, a Republican from Rockville Centre, to represent the 5th District.
The third race between attorneys Chris Browne, a Republican from Rockville Centre who is challenging incumbent, seven-time county legislator Joe Scannell, a Democrat from Baldwin, took a provocative turn this week when the Nassau County Democratic Club sent out a mailing asserting that in June 2010, Browne, in his role on the Town of Hempstead Board of Zoning Appeals, voted to approve construction of a strip club in Wantagh.
The letter alleged that Browne and fellow board members “issued a special-use permit” for the Mile High Club, a facility to be operated by a William Dean, who also runs Billy Dean’s Showtime Café in Bellmore. The letter says the Showtime Café features “exotic nightly events such as Foxy Boxing and Female Hot Oil Wrestling,” and also asserts there is “some type of connection between Mr. Browne and the side representing Mr. Dean.”
Browne has vehemently challenged the suggestion that he and his fellow board members voted to approve a strip club. He insisted on more than one occasion this week that the board approved a “license for a nightclub,” only, and that it specifically included language in the permit prohibiting “topless” or “bottomless” entertainment.
In a written statement, Browne said, “In the past several days, I have been shocked and saddened by the conduct of Joe Scannell's campaign. Mr. Scannell and his supporters have accused me of voting to approve a ‘strip club’ as a member of the Town Zoning Board of Appeals. This charge is outrageous and completely false.
“As the records of the Zoning Board reflect, I took no part in the original vote on the matter in question, as I was not present at the time that the Board voted on the matter. Moreover, those members of the Board who did vote did not approve a ‘strip club’ and, in fact, expressly prohibited adult entertainment at the site. Later, after listening to the concerns of the local community, I and the other members of the Board voted to entirely rescind the previous limited grant. The applicant is now fighting the case in court.”

Catholic Lawyers prefer strip clubs over OTB Bettors?

Let's make a bet that if Chris Browne asked the New York State Attorney General for an Opinion he would learn that NY PML Sec 105 is not constititutionally defensible and violates the rights of Greek Christian Republic Bettors who do not observe Easter Sunday on the Same Sunday he and Andrew Cuomo do in all years.
A recent mailing to Nassau County voters(and bettors) from Kevin Milano and Vincent Ciro urges you to "If Christian Browne can vote to destroy our local neighborhood, just imagine what he will do to yours?"

All OTBs should be open 365 days of the year so that bettors that wish to bet may do so and OTB employees who wish to work may do so (while they still have a job).

Teamsters Local 858, Barry Yomtov and Laura Campione et al are against giving workers the choice of whether to work on Palm Sunday and Each and Every Easters Sunday.
Vacation to be used as one wishes.
If you don't work, you don't get paid. What a silly concept except for.....

Chris Browne is an attorney with a wide variety of experience in the practice of civil litigation, criminal law, zoning and land use law, municipal law and appellate advocacy.

Admitted to the New York State Bar in 2005, Browne served for three years as an assistant district attorney in the New York County (Manhattan) District Attorney's Office. During his tenure as an ADA, Browne handled hundreds of criminal cases from arraignment through trial. He tried more than a dozen cases to verdict in the New York City Criminal and New York State Supreme courts.

In 2007, Browne joined the law firm of Lazer, Aptheker, Rosella & Yedid, P.C., located in Melville, New York. Browne was a member of the firm's litigation group and handled a broad array of legal matters, including commercial litigation cases, criminal defense work,  zoning and land use issues, appellate matters and landlord-tenant litigation. He continued his trial work, trying several cases to verdict in New York State Supreme Court.

Browne founded the Law Offices of Christian Browne, P.C. in the summer of 2010. He maintains a diverse practice, focused on civil litigation, municipal law and zoning/land use, landlord-tenant practice, criminal defense work and appeals.

Active politically, Browne narrowly lost a heated contest for a seat in the Nassau County (NY) Legislature in 2009. He is a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals for the Town of Hempstead and a leader of the Rockville Centre Republican Committee.

Chris Browne is a graduate of Regis High School, the College of the Holy Cross and Fordham University Law School. He resides in Rockville Centre, Long Island, with his wife Lauren and two children. He is a board member of the Nassau County Catholic Lawyers Guild, the Rockville Centre Lions Club and the Long Island Business Council.

doesn't Teamsters Local 237 represent Suffolk OTB employees?

Union prez laid down for Mike: lawsuit

Last Updated: 7:49 AM, October 23, 2011

A labor leader who now has his eye on the city’s top political office sacrificed his rank and file to curry favor with Mayor Bloomberg as the mogul fought for a third term, according to a lawsuit.
Bloomberg began lining up support for his latest stint in City Hall long before election season by getting unions such as the 20,000-member Teamsters Local 237 in his pocket, claims a New York City Housing Authority union leader who opposed the political alliance.
Jakwan Rivers -- a Local 237 business agent back in 2008, when the political pact became clear -- claims he was booted from his union gig, lost $30,000 in salary and was harassed for backing then-City Comptroller Bill Thompson in the 2009 race.
JAKWAN RIVERS Claims union conspiracy.

JAKWAN RIVERS Claims union conspiracy.
“We were told directly, ‘Greg [Floyd] is going with Bloomberg. When you go out in the field, let the members know we’re going with Bloomberg, because we are going to secure our contract before anyone else,’ ” Rivers said, referring to union president Floyd.
Rivers, 46, was part of a Local 237 group called Members for Change that attempted to unseat Floyd.
“Jakwan was fired [from Local 237] pretty much immediately after they announced their support of Thompson,” said Rivers’ lawyer, Alexander Coleman.
Floyd, now considering a 2013 mayoral run, agreed not to fight Bloomberg as the mayor implemented tough staffing cuts in 2007 and 2008, Rivers charged in a Brooklyn Federal Court lawsuit he filed last week against Floyd, the union and NYCHA.
“In exchange, Mayor Bloomberg provided Floyd with favorable contract terms and funding in negotiations,” the suit alleges.

if Barry Yomtov and Laura Campione force a merger of Teamsters Local

858 with Teamsters Local 707 will they appear in such government filings?
Perhaps Rooney and Yonkers will approach the employees of Nassau OTB and offer protection in return for the payment of an amount of money equal to their Union Dues to Teamsters Local 858?  Who needs Local 858 and/or Local 707 when Rooney may be able to force Nassau OTB into Bankruptcy if he wishes?
Inquiring minds would like to know Rooney's reaction to President Joseph Cairo's remarks to the peons about Al D'Amato.
