The time has come for believers in good food and a bit

of common sense to be heard.

The Carle Place Branch of Nasau OTB once contained an Italian  that was enjoyed by all and was an attribute to the operations of Nassau OTB.  It left and was replaced by a Singh restaurant, Poco Locos, as described in the trial transcripts of two Mangano trials before Judge Azrack.  These portions  of the two  trial transcripts have  not been furnished to Nassau OTB employees for their study, debate, discussion and use.

If the rent for the Italian restaurant was too damn high,  it should have been reduced  as needed to induce the Italian restaurant to stay. Common sense?

After the Singh restaurant came and went, the space remained empty for years until it reverted back to the landlord.

Discarding all of the transcripts of the two trials save for the portions pertaining to Nassau OTB as described above, a crime or worse has been committed against the patrons of Nassau OTB and Nassau OTB employees, who put in an honest day's work for an honest day's pay. Nassau OTB employees have been working under a contract signed  July  2, 2007. They miss the contribution the Italian restaurant made  to Nasu OTB's bettors and to Nassau OTB.  They have missed and continue to miss a 2% annual raise each year since 2007 like other public employees.

Would not common sense dictate the retention of a fine Italian Restaurant at any or no rent rather than a lousy mexican restaurant  or the conservation of the space into empty space?

Sincerely yours,
Jackson Leeds
