- One of the most anticipated dates on the Irish Racing calendar is the Fairyhouse Easter Festival. The three day Festival run over Easter weekend has been the scene of some memorable occasions over the years such as AP McCoys last ever ride on Irish soil and the victory of Our Duke for trainer Jessica Harrington in 2017. In 2019 the BoyleSports Irish Grand National was won by Burrows Saint for Willie Mullins under Ruby Walsh giving the Champion trainer his first ever win of the contest.In 2020 for the first time in recent years the three day festival will run from Saturday 11th April through to Monday 13th April. A true festival experience and electric atmosphere is generated over the 3 days with live music, the most stylish lady competition, children’s entertainment and not to mention the buzzing throngs of revellers in attendance all complementing the top-class racing. The tradition of the Fairyhouse Easter Festival is an experience not to be missed.
Easter Saturday - Opening Day
Saturday 11th April 2020Join us for Day 1 of the Fairyhouse Easter Festival.. The feature race on the day is the €100,000 Rybo Handicap Hurdle and the day also features the Ladies National. 2020 is the first time in recent years that the 3 day festival will kick off on Easter Saturday and as well as fantastic racing action its the perfect day to gather a group and enjoy one of our delicious hospitality options. Sunday 12th April 2020The Fairyhouse Gold Cup is a Grade 1 race of the highest quality and attracts some of England and Ireland’s best novice chasers aged five years and up. As one of the highlights of the Irish racing calendar punters are promised a day full of excitement and unpredictability. Sunday is also Family Day and there will be tonnes of free kids entertainment including face painting, carousels, Little Hoofs, Bouncy Castles and more! Monday 13th April 20202020 marks the 150th running of the Irish Grand National which has become a stalwart at the heart of the Irish sporting calendar. The race attracts the game’s best runners and riders to Fairyhouse to take on this demanding course. Easter Monday also features the Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa Most Stylish Lady Competition and the lucky winner will be jetting off to Nashville.
