Hey Rommney Teamsters Local 707 take our money without letting us

run for office. Please help.
"To be eligible to be elected for any office in Local 707, a member must be in continuous good standing in Local 707 and actively employed in a craft within the jurisdiction of Local 707 for a period of 24 consecutive monthe prior to nominations and must be eligible to hold office if elected."

Teamsters Local 858 with represented Nassau OTB employees and NYC OTB employees was merged with Teamsters Local 707 without a vote of its members and ceased to exist less than two years ago. Hence the members of Teamsters Local 858 can't run for office since this merger occurred less than two years ago. Nassau OTB is a public benefit corporation and Teamsters Local 707 is a union whose pension plan is in critical status according to the US Department of Labor and is awaiting action by the PBGC. In the meantime it replenishes its cash stream, compelled dues, by adding new members eg the former members of Teamsters Local 858.

As you know New York City OTB died in Bankruptcy Court.

Please help.

Also take note that Gloria Moran did collect enough signatures from Nassau OTB employees to file with the NY State PERB but did not do so for reasons unknown to many /most Nassau OTB members.
