Penny Marshall, the actress who played one half of a lovelorn, blue-collar duo in the television sitcom “Laverne & Shirley” and went on to produce and direct films such as “Big,” “A League of Their Own” and “Awakenings,” died Monday in her home in Los Angeles. She was 75.
