crime pays and lawyer are nothing but high priced errand boys.
Suffolk OTB  has no credibility.
It dug itself itself into bankruptcy with a little help from Albany.

What gambling operation would close when tracks are running that bettors want to bet?
What gambling operation adds insult to injury by expressing its religious preference over that of bettors, infidels  and other believers despite NY Const Art 1, Sec. 3

The fact that Suffolk OTB closed on Roman Catholic Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday in preference to Greek Orthodox Easter Sunday and Palm Sunday shows that Suffolk OTB has no character and can't even be bothered to ask for a legal opinion. Perhaps legal opinions are expensive?



NEWSDAY SHOULD OBTAIN THE BILLING RECORDS FOR THE LEGAL OPINION OF NIXON PEABODY FOR ITS FOUR PAGE OPINION.

I WONDER IF NIXON PEABODY SUPPORTS SUFFOLK OTB'S RELIGIOUS PREFERENCE AND KNOWS THAT WORKING TO MAKE MONEY IS STILL NECESSARY FOR OTB EMPLOYEES ?

Brookhaven Town approval not needed for Medford casino plan, legal opinion concludes




Suffolk OTB can build a video lottery parlor in Medford without approval from the Town of Brookhaven, a Manhattan-based law firm concluded in a legal opinion requested by town officials.
The four-page letter from Nixon Peabody LLC obtained by Newsday supports Brookhaven officials, who have said the $76 million casino proposal is exempt from town zoning laws. Town leaders sought the opinion...
