Passage of the 2015-16 State Budget
From the Office of The Governor

I’m proud to announce today that we have successfully passed the 2015-2016 State Budget.
This $142 billion budget is the most meaningful we have agreed to in many years, not because of what we are spending but because of how we are spending it. We are not just maintaining services and the status quo with this budget. We are investing in a new future for our state.

For the past several weeks we asked New Yorkers like you to support these initiatives. Thousands upon thousands of you did, signing statements of support, writing letters to the editor, and sharing with your friends on social media. I thank you deeply for the commitment you’ve shown, and the work we’ve done together.
Together, we’ve put forward a state budget that will make a difference in people’s lives. Thank you for making your voices heard, and let’s keep the momentum going in the months ahead.
Sincerely,

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo
