Andrew Cuomo celebrates by

discriminating against people based on their beliefs and/or ethnicity. Andrew Cuomo closes Nassau OTB only on Roman Catholic Easter Sunday and not Greek Orthodox Easter Sunday. Andrew Cuomo closes Nassau OTB only on Roman Catholic Palm Sunday and not on Greek Orthodox Palm Sunday. Andrew Cuomo thinks he is in Rome where NY Const. Art. 1, Sec. 3 does not apply. Vote no on Cuomo and the constitutional amendment on casinos. Enough thievery.

From the Office of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo
Dear Fellow New Yorker,
Today we celebrate Columbus Day and the great achievements and contributions of the Italian-American community.
New York State takes tremendous pride in our rich and diverse cultural traditions, and today as we commemorate the Italian-American experience we celebrate all new Americans who have come to our shores in pursuit of the opportunities and freedom this nation offers.
On this day we mark the achievements of a community that has contributed much to the richness and diversity of New York. The Columbus Day parade has been a great New York City tradition since 1929.  It is the world’s largest celebration of Italian-American heritage, a legacy that we are proud to nurture and preserve.
As a second-generation Italian-American who has always admired the tenacity and courage of my immigrant grandparents, I am proud to celebrate this day.  The work ethic, hope, and traditions that immigrants continue to contribute as our state’s most precious resource and the bedrock of this nation’s greatness.
Sincerely,

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo
