Dear solutions@spectrumgaming.com, Nassau OTB employees , ncexecutive@nassaucountyny.gov, et al:

On Sunday January 31,, 2021 Teamsters Local  707 did hold a Zoom union meeting at 10 am.

The most recent  Collective Bargaining  Agreement (CBA) was signed on July 2, 2007  covering the time period January 1, 2006 through December 31, 2008. The CBA remains in effect. A proposed CBA exists that Nassau OTB employees know little or nothing about as discussed by Local 707 President Kevin McCaffrey at the Zoom Meeting.   It appears  that only two Nassau OTB employees attended the meeting.

Employees must be provided with the tentative agreement with ample time to debate and discuss it among themselves, formulate their questions, and receive answers, and further debate and discuss among themselves. A writing dated May 8, 2019 signed by Joseph G Cairo and Kevin McCaffrey purported to amend the CBA without notice to employees, without a vote by employees, and without the opportunity for employees to debate and discuss among themselves.  See below PERB case.

Nassau OTB President Joseph G Cairo  and Suffolk County Legislator Kevin McCaffrey are acting in concert and collusion for their benefit, at our expense and in detriment of honest union representation. You would not expect from political business parters, particularly since Joseph G Cairo did endorse Kevin McCaffrey for Union President at a union meeting at Saint Mary’s Church in Carle Place. See NY Public Employment Relations Board U-37114 Nassau OTB and Local 707, Angela M Blassman ALJ.
