Michael Madigan Suspends Campaign for Illinois House Speaker to move to Albany NY to learn how to do it like.....silver skelos and the kingpin

Long-serving power broker steps aside to let someone else seek 60 votes in caucus 

Mr. Madigan, who has been speaker for all but two years since 1983, said in a statement, ‘This isn’t a withdrawal.’

Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan, the longest-serving state house speaker in U.S. history, on Monday suspended his campaign to remain in the post after failing to win enough votes in a Democratic caucus on Sunday.
