The IBT has merged Teamsters Local 858 with Local 707 without a vote of the members of Teamsters Local 858 after making findings and analysis with respect to Local 858 without disclosing the same to the members of Local 858 who pay dues.  Please supply the members of Teamsters Local 858 with a copy of the IBT determinations made and supporting documents, if any.  See IBT Constitution at pp.71-72 Mergers

Teamsters Local 858 represented the Managers of New York City OTB, a public benefit corporation, that went bankrupt.  When the New York City OTB Managers lost their jobs they stopped paying dues. Former New York City OTB Manager, Barry Yomtov, President of Local 858, continues to hold a paid position paid for by the dues of Nassau OTB employees.
