Independence day will not be complete until cuomo

Sees that Nassau OTB, a public benefit corporation , is open 365 days of the year without religious preference.

Greeks are paying particular attention as Andre cuomo has closed Nassau OTB on roman catholic Easter Sunday in preference to Greek orthodox Easter Sunday.

From the Office of The Governor
Dear Fellow New Yorker,
Today on the Fourth of July, we celebrate our nation’s independence and the freedoms and values that define us as Americans.
New York is proud of its pivotal role in the birth of our nation. More battles of the Revolutionary War were fought in New York than in any other state, such as the Battle of Ticonderoga, America’s first clear victory, and the Battle of Saratoga, a turning point in the War. New York was also the site of other important events in our nation’s early history, including the inauguration of George Washington as our country’s first President at Federal Hall in New York City, which was the Capital of the United States of America at that time.
As we gather with friends and family this weekend, let us remember our veterans and the courageous men and women who serve our country today, and honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our nation.
I extend my warmest wishes to all New Yorkers for a Happy Independence Day.
Sincerely,
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo
