Free Workshop For Small Business Owners & Start-Ups Held
Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano, in collaboration with the Office of Minority Affairs and Coordinating Agency for Spanish Americans, hosted a free Business Workshop for small business owners and start-ups. The workshop was designed to assist small business owners with registering to become MWBE-certified, obtain licensing requirements and business certification, and discover lending opportunities. The event also provided valuable business-to-business networking opportunities.

LI Cares Collect Hundreds Of Pounds Of Pet Food And Supplies For Disadvantaged Families
Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano and Long Island Cares, Inc. The Harry Chapin Food Bank thanked employees for participating in Nassau Countys 6th Annual Pet Food Drive Challenge. The pet food drive took place during the month of February and collected hundreds of pounds of food and supplies. Donations will assist Baxters Pet Pantry formed by Long Island Cares in 2009 - to provide free pet food and supplies to pet-owning families in need in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
